Six of Cups

Six of Cups

A card of simple goodwill. The 6s are about communication and in this card we see a small person (symbolising the past) giving a gift to a child. The gift is future memories.

The card signifies childhood and innocence, that time when we felt safe and protected. This warm, secure feeling can sometimes help us to deal with current problems. However, sometimes a fixation on the past can prevent us from moving forward.

The card can also represent the simple act of giving. Here, the person could be a teacher or friend giving something to the child (wisdom, presents etc).

Reversed, it can mean disturbed memories, a feeling of alienation or a breakdown of a relationship between a giver and receiver (e.g. teacher and pupil).
